Fulton, Mo. -- South Callaway High School senior Konrad Kemper signed a letter of intent to continue his education at William Woods University and play baseball for the Owls, head coach Darren Munns announced today.

"Konrad is a great addition to our program," said Munns. "He has had a lot of offensive success both at the high school level and in competitive summer baseball. Konrad already displays college power and will only get better. I look forward to his continued development, and expect him to compete for at-bats as a freshman."

As a freshman, he earned second team all-conference honors as a catcher, following up those accolades with first team all-conference and all-district honors as well as second team all-area and all-state recognition in his sophomore and junior years. He wrapped up his junior season with a .639 batting average and a slugging percentage of .917. He added 16 RBI and scored 26 runs on the season.

Kemper is a three-sport standout for South Callaway, a three-year letterwinner in football and basketball for the Bulldogs in addition to his four baseball letters. As a senior, he was recognized as a first team all-conference and second team all-district and all-area selection at quarterback after leading the Bulldogs to conference and district championships.

The Mokane, Mo., native is the son of Bob and Trudy Kemper, and intends to study Physical Education at William Woods.
